1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Here’s how to participate:

Register your child by call your local branch and then print off the 1000 Books booklet.

Record all of the books that your child reads or that you read to your child. Remember to include stories that your child hears at library storytimes, in preschool and daycare; stories of faith and religion – any and all books and stories count!

When you fill out 100 books, bring back the completed log into the library and we’ll give you a certificate and another record sheet.

If you read just 5 books a week, your child will have read 1,000 books in four years!
